  • I've just sent in a volunteering application to Mercy Malaysia, however instead of waiting for them, I think I am going to go ahead with yaya to the orphanages. I love children, and I dont need big organisations like Mercy to meet the little children that I want to help. Start small right? then maybe in the not so distant future, I'd open up my own charity foundation. not such a bad idea huh? Anyways, what I am trying to tell you guys is that it does not matter how big or how small the things you do and give to others, what matters is that you do it with the utmost sincerity and care for the people you want to help. Just a few examples to get you started, reading books to the kids, telling stories or jokes, sing to them, bring colouring book or toys, oh and water baloon fights is also fun!

After the death of Michael jackson, do we now know how much he has given back to the society. Everything that he has done for the poor children in this world has finally come out in the open. There's probably more that we don't know. For instance, my mother told me a story about MJ from her friend. Her friend was one of the organisers of MJ's concert in Kuala Lumpur in 1996. MJ once called him and asked him if there were any orphanages around the area where he could go visit. Once that was arranged, he went to ToysRus in OU (which was officially reported) and bought a bunch of stuff there for the kids. The fact that he did not flaunt to people the charities he has done makes it all the more sincere and REAL. Not like all the angelina jolie UN facade. It probably is to make up for her being a serial husband stealer. haha ok fine, that's probably too harsh. i cant deny the fact that she has done good here and there, increasing awareness around the globe. Maybe she's sincere in doing it but to put yourself in the centre of attention all the time? cmooon, dont tell me that part of it isn't for "good" publicity!  Despite the fact that im not a believer of selfless acts, I find the publicity a tadtoo much. There is NOT one selfless act that a person can do in his/her lifetime. Don't tell me that when you do a good deed or something of that sort, you never feel a tiny weeny bit satisfied with yourself? my point exactly. we are after all, just human beings. BUT to what extent does our self-satisfaction take control of our actions? it differs with everybody and that counts!

(maybe jumping in to take a bullet for someone can be counted as a selfless act? naaaah.. u'd be dead. it doesnt count! ANY THOUGHTS on the matter?)

so yes, Michael Jackson. I hope to give back to the world with the little things I can do here and there hopefully. He's an inspiration to us all, he gave back in ways he did, we should do too in our own little ways. Getting my degree first is my aim right now. Later in life, maybe who knows.. Things change, Wants change, People change. I just pray that this part of me won't. I hope that when I study abroad I won't turn into a selfish bitch who is sucked into the evil corporate money-making world and conform completely to what society expects of her.

Turning back to the lighter but significant nonetheless, things in life. I need to start going for art classes. but I dont have the time at all! AT ALL! sigh. I have skills I do!!! Seriously, I may seem like I don't, but I do. I just need to know what they are. HAHA or better yet, stick to one thing long enough to be good at it. I have the tendency to leave things unfinished which is very very bad, I know. I get bored easily. THAT is my problem. I have no focus. well when it comes to this there isnt. Haih, oh well, why be like other people when I can be my own self right? Maybe this is just me being ME. Life's a canvas and we should all be able to colour it the way we want to. I don't have to be like any of you. I'm my own person and if I wanna leave thing unfinished then so be it. It doesnt mean in any way that you are any better than me. Looking on the bright side, atleast I've tried!!!! haha

I've been swearing alot lately, probably from all the couch-potato-ing ive been doing lately watching Entourage. Finished 5 whole seasons and I can hardly wait for the new one. i know i know, its more of a guy's show (i.e.sex, cars, chicks n pot) but to hell with it. I LOVE IT!

Oh btw,to see what I've been doing lately, you guys can checkout my facebook album at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=108089&id=561371313

Anyways, sorry I havent been updating my blog lately. I've been busy running around, enjoying my free time :) will try to update more, if anything interesting comes up that is.

I was in Alor Setar for one night to attend my nephew's cukur jambul thingy ceremony. It was really grand! He got his hair cukured by a sultan maan. How often can you say that about a relative huh? fooh gile proud doh! haha ok aaanyways, the great thing about going back to Kedah is that I get to see my little cousins again. I finally met Daniel! he is so super duper comel. I've never made any kid laugh as much as him. kids are so full of life kan? if only it sticks with you till you reach adulthood. there would be happier people around and the world would be a better place. pfffft, as if its that easy.

Surprised Sarah at her house just now. Haiqal drove of course. :p Landed at 10.20pm, reached home 11.30pm, reached Sierramas at 12.15 this morning. Couldn't reach in time to celebrate the last few minutes of her 19th birthday, but she was happy nevertheless! hehe that is what matters at the end of the day right? Had loads of fun chit-chatting.. as always.. :) Rah told us some stuff she heard from Farah Alia, which was so entertaining. The type of people we come across nowadays are so amusing. they are truly the best source of entertainment, I tell you. haha You know which are the best kind? The ones that are oblivious to the reality surrounding them. Why? because they only believe the things that they want to believe. if it suits them then fooh! there you go. Funny :P If only they knew that the rest of us use them as a source of entertainment. wait no.. a source of comedy.

anyhuuuu, I'm off to bed... have been on the go since Friday morning. non stop yaw. fly here fly there run here run there talk here talk there laugh here laugh there bitch here bitch ok you get it.

    sigh.. xxxx

    its very haiqal-ish :)

  • the perfect end, and the perfect start to a new beginning

We just got back from Bali and the trip was FANTASTIC! it has MORE than lived up to the excitement leading up to the trip. sigh I am already missing living THE life. haha our very own private villa, drinking celebratory champagne, shopping, lazying around, swimming till we start shivering from the cold at 2 am! sleeping at 5 in the morning, hanging out with those crazy but lovable friends of mine. It was a really really good trip. Despite not doing much activities because well I've been there twice before, it was effing fun nonetheless.

It was the perfect end to the two years we spent in college together. After all the ups and downs, we spent the past five days with no drama, no hatred, just pure fun and happiness. The trip which was expected to be filled with drama, turned out the opposite. It has brought us all together.

Here's to two years of wild friendship, and many more years to come.

    Cheers!

  • We can't survive without electricity can we?

    Attention to all Kyuem-ers

Did you guys hear the terrible news?

THERE WOULD BE NO ELECTRICITY ON THE 9TH OF JUNE FROM 10.00am UNTIL 7.00pm.

this is due to some shitty construction thing which they just haaaaave to do tomorrow. argh bodoh! why why WHYYYY does this have to happen in the middle of our freggin exams. there's only four days left, cant they effing wait?

    Shaheera's bimbotic moment :

"Guys, so what do we do?? should we go back?? it'll be so hot!" - Nadia

"We go to the RC la!" - says Shaheera with her busuk baru bangun face.

anyways, the girls and i are gonna stay here instead of going back, because it would be too much of a hassle to come and go. our exam on wednesday starts at 8.30am! we've decided to not even step out of our chalet because it'll be unbearably hot outside. therefore, we'll be eating cereal for breakfast, cereal for lunch, and cereal for tea. thats it! nyummy? :s

something tells me we'll be showering every half an hour in the cold water.

Good luck studying in the hot weather tomorrow people!!!!
